Terms of Service for Delta
Welcome to Delta! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Delta iOS application. By using Delta, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Delta is a digital discipline and time management tool designed for iOS. It uses a "Time Currency" system where users earn time by using productive apps and spend that time to access restricted entertainment apps.
2. No User Accounts
Delta is a local-first application. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address (except for support), or create a password. All your progress, settings, and "Time Currency" balance are stored locally on your device or in your private iCloud storage.
3. Apple Screen Time API (FamilyControls)
Delta relies on Apple's FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks to function.
- Permission Required: You must grant "Screen Time" permissions for the app to monitor app usage and apply restrictions.
- Monitoring Scope: Delta does not have access to your personal content within other apps. It only receives opaque identifiers of apps to track duration and apply blocks.
- Revocation: You may revoke this permission at any time via the iOS Settings app.
4. Delta Pro (Premium Features)
Delta Pro is an optional subscription managed via RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchases.
- Features: Premium features may include custom allowances, unlimited app categories, and advanced analytics.
- Payments: All financial transactions are governed by Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Cancellations: You can manage and cancel your subscription through your App Store account settings.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass the app's blocking mechanisms or security protocols.
- Manipulate system time or device settings to exploit the "Time Currency" system.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
6. Limitation of Liability
Delta is provided "as is." While we strive to help you improve productivity, we are not responsible for any productivity loss, device issues, or missed deadlines resulting from the use of the app or any technical failures of the iOS Screen Time API.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. Your continued use of the app signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms.
